The Marina d’Arechi Port Village is located to the east of the city of Salerno, at the gateway to the Amalfi Coast and the island of Capri going northwards, with the Cilento Coast and region lying to the south.
The setting boasts as background some of the finest scenery in Italy, renowned for its extraordinary natural beauty and offering mariners glimpses of sea and landscape they may not have dreamed existed.
On their first visit, sailors cannot fail to be astonished at the breathtaking beauty of this part of Italy. Eight miles to the north is Amalfi, a very important port in mediaeval times, still bearing traces of its illustrious past. Continue for another few miles and you reach Positano, perched on a spur of rock and surrounded by sea on three sides. In summer, it hosts musical concerts and other artistic events. From the shore of these two ports it is approximately 10 miles sailing - on the incredible emerald sea - to the famous “Isle of Capri”. If you prefer to sail in the other direction, south-east, an hour or two brings you to the very different type of scenery of the rugged Punta Licosa.
The scene is set for that perfect balance between nature, sea and the Italian way of life.
