Marina d’Arechi is a company controlled by the Gallozzi Group, a key player in the maritime transport and port logistics sector since 1952.
Its share capital amounts to €36,200,000, entirely privately held.
Agostino Gallozzi serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company.
The Group, headquartered in Salerno, developed Marina d’Arechi through a project finance initiative, without any public grants or non-repayable funding, with an investment to date amounting to €85,000,000.
The Gallozzi Group was founded in 1952 by Giuseppe (Joe) Gallozzi and his wife Titina, with the goal of offering third-party shipping services, stevedoring operations, and terminal management in the port of Salerno, serving clients in Southern and Central Italy.
In 1984, Giuseppe (Joe) was awarded the title of M.B.E. – Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire – by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, in recognition of over 30 years of commitment to the development of maritime trade between Italy and the United Kingdom.
After a life dedicated to innovation in the shipping industry, founder Giuseppe passed away in 1991. Ownership and management of the Group passed to his three sons: Agostino (Chairman), Vincenzo, and Enrico (both members of the Board of Directors), all of whom had grown up in the company under their father’s guidance. Agostino (Presidente), Vincenzo ed Enrico (entrambi membri del Consiglio di Amministrazione), tutti cresciuti nell’azienda sotto la guida del padre.
In May 2004, at the age of 48, Agostino became one of the youngest Italian citizens to receive the highest civilian honor of the Italian Republic, being appointed Cavaliere del Lavoro (Order of Merit for Labour) by the President of the Republic.
The Group has evolved from a local shipping agency into an organization that controls over 20 companies active in the fields of maritime agency, international forwarding, logistics, and container terminals, with offices in Italy, China, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Turkey, and the United States.
Agostino, Vincenzo, and Enrico Gallozzi have continued the Group’s expansion, carrying forward the company's vision and values while maintaining a constant focus on the future.
The business plan foresees a strong push toward internationalization, with the opening of new offices in Europe and the Mediterranean region, along with investments in the private yacht marina sector.
