A Journey Driven by Passion, Still Ongoing
The idea of Marina d’Arechi was born in the late 1990s from a desire to create not just a marina, but a unique place where efficiency, beauty, and sustainability could coexist in perfect harmony.
In just over eighteen months, and in line with the most advanced international standards, a project emerged that embraced a new concept of what a marina could be: not only a safe and comfortable harbor for boats —including large yachts — but also a modern village designed to enjoy the sea all year round.
Salerno Port Village is the tangible expression of a new way to build, imagine, and transform. A place where industry meets art, and functionality merges with beauty to make the invisible visible.
Marina d’Arechi was built on a stretch of coastline east of the city of Salerno that had been neglected for decades. Choosing this location was a bold decision, driven by the belief that a high-quality marina, designed with environmental responsibility in mind, could become the engine of urban regeneration. Site inspections confirmed the vision: a hidden corner of the coast with extraordinary potential, overlooking the breathtaking beauty of the Amalfi Coast—an iconic destination with the power to attract the global superyacht market.
That was the beginning of a story fueled by passion, vision, and determination — a story that continues to evolve every single day.

LATE 1990s
The idea of Marina d’Arechi is born. -
2000
Design development begins. -
2002
The administrative process starts with the Campania Region’s approval of the “Strategic Guidelines for the Development of the Integrated System of Nautical Tourism in Campania.” -
2003
A Memorandum of Understanding is signed between the Region, the Municipality of Salerno, and the Salerno Port Authority to develop and streamline port infrastructure and maritime transport in the Salerno area. -
2004
The Campania Region approves the “Programming Act for Interventions in Nautical Tourism to Be Carried Out through Project Financing.”

2005-2007
The Conference of Services convened by the Campania Region concludes with the approval of the preliminary project, urban planning amendment, and program agreement draft.
A restricted tender is announced for the design, construction, and management of the marina, awarded to the consortium led by the Gallozzi Group. -
2009
July 31, 2009: The final project is submitted to the Campania Region’s Department of Transport. -
2010
The foundation stone is laid. Just two years later, in 2012, the marina begins welcoming its first vessels—undaunted by the global financial crisis of 2008–2012, which deeply impacted the yachting industry.
Year after year, the marina expanded rapidly, culminating in 2018 with the completion of the entire maritime infrastructure. -
2022
In 2022, Marina d’Arechi celebrated its 10th anniversary and continues to grow and evolve.
