11 times 'Stupefacente'!
Marina d’Arechi celebrates a new major milestone for Stupefacente, which has won the Salerno Gulf Winter Offshore Sailing Championship for the eleventh time, now in its 44th edition.
This extraordinary result confirms the consistency, technical skill, and competitive spirit of a team that, season after season, remains a benchmark in the Campania sailing scene.
The Championship—organized by the Comitato Circoli Velici Salernitani, with the rotating presidency held by the Compagnia della Vela Salerno—was held in collaboration with the Lega Navale Italiana of Agropoli for the coastal races.
The 2025-2026 edition was marked by highly variable weather conditions: the initial races, characterized by light winds, were followed by more intense and challenging conditions in January and February, testing the 25 competing crews.
In the Racing-Cruising class, Stupefacente, owned by Antonello Stanzione (ASD Marina), secured first place, ahead of Patricia by Alfonso Cianfrone (LNI Agropoli) and X-Tension by Roberto Guerrasio (Compagnia della Vela Salerno).
Marina d’Arechi welcomes this success with great satisfaction, proud to stand alongside a team that approaches the sea with passion, perseverance, and dedication—values that fully represent the identity of our Port Village and our community.
The awards ceremony took place on April 12th.
